JEV Impact Factor

ISEV is pleased to announce that the first Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of its flagship journal, “Journal of Extracellular Vesicles” has been released by Journal Citation Reports®, Clarivate Analytics, 2019. The 2018 Journal Impact Factor of 11.00 is a significant milestone for JEV.
In parallel, Scopus®, who has calculated a "Scopus CiteScore" for JEV since 2018, has released its 2019 CiteScore of 15.40. These numbers demonstrate the increased recognition of the journal in the “Cell Biology” category and beyond.

The Journal Impact Factor (JIF) is a measure of citation frequency. JIF is calculated annually for journals listed in the Clarivate Journal Citation Reports. The impact factor of a journal for a given year is the number of citations in that year to articles published by the journal in the previous 2 years divided by the number of articles published in the previous 2 years. The Scopus CiteScore is calculated similarly but taking into accounts citations of articles published in the previous 3 years.

Congratulations to the EV scientific community, including all JEV authors, and a heartfelt thanks to the Editorial team of this distinguished journal, Drs. Clotilde Théry, Peter J. Quesenberry and Yong Song Gho, who led JEV to this grand success. Also, thank you to our team of Associate Editors and reviewers for their effort, expertise, and contributions over the last seven years!

We are looking forward to furthering JEV as the premier publication in extracellular vesicle research.
