Talk title: The Fellowship: A Journey in Cardiovascular Science

Abstract: This talk will outline my training journey in cardiovascular science, highlighting key experiences from undergraduate, postgraduate, and postdoctoral stages that ultimately led to establishing an independent research programme at the University of Oxford. I will discuss the role of fellowships in academic career development and reflect on how both successful and unsuccessful applications created opportunities to refine ideas, build collaborations, and shape a long-term research vision.
