We are delighted to share with you the 62nd issue of the SNEV Newsletter, bringing you the latest news, research highlights, opportunities, and events from across the EV community.

This issue marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for SNEV as we introduce the new SNEV Board for 2026–2028. We are looking forward to a new term filled with newsletters, workshops, networking opportunities, and initiatives designed to support students and early-career researchers throughout their EV research journey.

We are also pleased to feature an exclusive interview with Belén Gaete-Ramírez, who shares insights into her PhD research on the mechanisms underlying EV secretion under hypoxia. She reflects on her journey into EV research and offers thoughtful advice on navigating the challenges of a PhD, the importance of scientific rigour, and staying connected to the research community.

Our EV Research Highlights feature a recent study exploring small EV and total lipid profiles as complementary biomarkers to CA-125 in ovarian cancer. The study highlights the potential of sEV lipid signatures to improve the differential diagnosis of adnexal masses, particularly in cases where conventional CA-125 measurements are inconclusive.
